GLW Feeds Limited founded in 1873, is a privately owned family business that specialises in the manufacture of compound feeds in nut, roll, pellet and meal form as well as custom meals and blends. Our products are of the highest standard, made using superior quality raw materials. In addition to blends and compound animal feeds, we supply straights, minerals, fats, milk replacers, seeds, silage additives and fertilizers.
At GLW Feeds we believe that personal contact with customers is of the utmost importance. To ensure this we have a team of area business managers in the field and a dedicated Technical department who are able to provide nutritional and livestock management support to help you make the best possible use of your resources.
Our modern mill in Shepshed Leicestershire, beside the M1 is ideally placed to enable us to supply feeds all over the country from North Yorkshire to Devon and from Wales to Norfolk with our own dedicated fleet of specialist Lorries.

Feed Safety
As a feed manufacturer, we are directly involved in the food chain. We therefore take feed safety very seriously. GLW Feeds is proud to be assured and accredited with following schemes:

Marks & Spencer’s
Approved supplier of heat-treated breeder mash and also production of other types of feed such as broiler breeder, layers breeder, layers, poultry and turkey feed for supply to the M & S production system.

Veterinary Medicines Regulations 2008
- Approved as Category 3 Manufacture of Feedingstuffs using Specified Feed Additives and Veterinary Medicinal Products directly at any concentration, or using premixtures.

As part of our commitment to feed safety, we are one of the very few feed mills in the UK to be able to heat treat feeds through our HTR system to a temperature of 86 degrees c for up to 6 minutes to allow maximum salmonella kill.
