GLW Feeds Limited, a family owned business established in 1873, was founded in the belief that personal contact with customers is of the utmost importance. To ensure this personal contact, we have a full team of area business managers in the field as well as a dedicated Technical department who are able to provide nutritional and livestock management support to help you make the best possible use of your resources.
Our Current Managing Director, George Llewellyn White, is the fourth generation “George Llewellyn White” to manage the business. He has always had a profound interest and belief in British agriculture and also has his own 400 head Pedigree Jersey herd, so fully understands what the industry is like from ‘the other side of the fence’.
At GLW Feeds, we do not believe in making ‘cheap feeds’. Our policy, “Quality in, equals Quality out ” is applied, not only to the products that we manufacture, but also to the products that we source from other raw material manufacturers for straight sales.
Our mill at Shepshed, on the M1, Leicestershire, is centrally positioned to be both near raw materials and our customers. We supply feeds all over the country from North Yorkshire to Devon and from Wales to Norfolk with our own dedicated fleet of specialist Lorries.
We are able to manufacture a full range of ruminant diets from specially tailored TMR meals and blends to a fully comprehensive range of compound feeds in nut, roll and pellet form. In addition to this we manufacture a full range of high quality pig, poultry and game diets.
Lindum Mill is a UFAS registered site that also has Marks and Spencer accreditation and ASDA approval. In addition to this, the mill has the most advanced feed hygiene system in the United Kingdom; the “Integrated Feed Hygiene System “(IFHS). This is specially designed for the production of high quality mashes for use in the poultry breeder sector.
Constant appraisal of new technologies, nutritional research and quality raw materials ensures that GLW Feeds Limited remains a major force in UK feed production.
